
The Château Vaudreuil is privately owned by Benito Migliorati and his family.
Benito was born in Umbria, Italy on the border of Tuscany, the region of wineries, land of the truffles and renown for its good food and gastronomy.
Umbria is known for its Valley of the Appenini, where the Tevere River has its origin. The Tevere played an instrumental role during the Roman Empire, as it was a major water source as well as mode of transportation. To this day, you can still find the aqueduct bridges, and the Via Appia from the Roman Empire days, dating from 200 years BC.
In 1958, Benito immigrated Switzerland and attended the famous Hotel School in Lausanne. He expanded his experience throughout Europe from Switzerland to England, to Scotland, to Sardinia, Italy, and at the age of 24 was already General Manager in South England and London.
His passion was always the Food & Beverage division, the most difficult division in the hotel business.
In 1969, he immigrated to Canada with the intention to move to the USA and pursue his career in the hotel business. However, he soon fell in love with Montreal for its European flair and characteristics.
In 1986, Benito purchased land on the scenic shores of the Lac des Deux Montagnes and began building the Château Vaudreuil. In March 1989, the Château Vaudreuil opened its doors for business.
Today, the Château Vaudreuil boasts its Pavillon sur le Lac, Villa d’Este Restaurant and 116 fabulous suites on 25 acres of gardens. It has been awarded 5 stars and 4 diamonds which make the Château Vaudreuil the leader in the hotel industry.
Presently, we are working on developing a state of the art spa facility and a deluxe condominium project.

He, his wife,Carole Vice President , and their oldest daughter Melanie Room Division Manager along with the management team comprised of Max Tursucu, Director of Finance, Charles Goyeche Director of Food & Beverage Operations, Nick DiPardo, Executive Chef all welcome you and will ensure that all of your needs are met.
